Finding a Winter Log Cabin

Scotland is a great part of the world to visit all year round. If you’re thinking about going away for the Christmas holidays, a week or two in a cozy log cabin in Scotland could be the ideal retreat. Much of the country enjoys at least a scattering of snow each winter, ensuring that you’ll have a white Christmas.

What better way is there to spend a cold winter’s evening than sitting among friends in front of an open fire, drinking Scotch Whisky, while the snow falls gently outside? Log cabins may seem as if they’re found only in the deepest, darkest woods, but in reality you’d be surprised at where they crop up. Lochside cabins, beach homes and shelters on the forest edge are all available, with many close to towns and villages. How remote you go is up to you!
